Every sign we sell is made after you order it — nothing is pulled off a shelf. Here is what happens between your click and the box at your door.
Whether it's one of the 15,000+ designs in the catalog or artwork you send us, every sign begins as a line drawing optimized for engraving: strong outlines, clean contours, the right dot density for shading. (This is also the secret behind our 3D illusion lamps — the "3D" is a perspective drawing, engraved.)
The design is laser-engraved into a sheet of clear acrylic. The engraving is the sign: every etched line will catch and scatter the light, while the untouched acrylic stays invisible. Acrylic — not glass — is why our signs survive shipping, hang from a simple chain, and never involve gas or fragile tubes (the full comparison).
The engraved panel is mounted on an LED base that lights it from the edge. The LEDs are rated for around 100,000 hours, draw about 3 watts, and stay cool to the touch. Your choices at this step: one of seven static colors, or the multicolor version with 20 colors and 19 dynamic modes on a remote.
Three sizes — 12×8", 16×12" or 24×16" (how to choose) — and two power options, USB or wall adapter (which one you want). Then it's packed and shipped to you.
Because each sign is produced to order, we can offer a catalog no warehouse could hold — but it also means a sign takes longer than a next-day gadget. Ordering for a birthday or for Christmas? Order early rather than express. Your wall will thank you for the patience: see what 700+ customers say on our reviews page.
